"Last spring I launched a search for a rock solid engine rebuild source. Ben O'Con with Corona Aircraft Engines was recommended by Aircraft Specialties Services out of Tulsa, OK. Prior to contracting with Corona Engines I discovered several rebuild services who sent run out engines to rebuild mills in the mid-west. An up front removal/reinstall cost of up to $10,000 was saved by flying my aircraft directly to Corona Aircraft Engines' facility located on the Corona, California airport. This savings was reinvested in purchashing premium rebuild parts for my new engine. Ben, with hands-on, followed my project from removal through initial return to service fine tuning. He made important quality improvement suggestions during the rebuild process. Since turbos tend to need finicky close attention to tuning details, prior to completion, several test were critical. Ben's test pilot was present during the pre-flight adjustment process and the PIC during my first flight after the rebuild. This process was a great confidence builder for me. Ben's shop is extra clean and well orginized, with employees closely supervised. There is no loud music blasting in his shop, nor employees standing around. Ben's prices are fair and his workmanship is unsurpassed. After experiencing many shoddy annuals with smug vendor attitudes, Ben's performance was impressive. His is associated with an intellegent I&A who oversees the general health of each aircraft as the rebuild progresses. I couldn't have placed my aircraft, nor my trust, in better hands."

"Corona Aircraft Engines recently completed an engine rebuild project for a vintage aircraft I own. This project required knowledge and an understanding of available options for this particular installation. Ben O'Con was a man of his word in all respects and seemed to take a personal interest in my engine every step of the way. He was an excellent communitcator and completed the project within budget parameters we discussed and on-time. I've now flown the engine 75 hours and extremly pleased with the finish, fit and quality of this engine. Without reservation, I highly recommend Corona Aircraft Engines."

"I am still breaking in my Lycoming O-360-A1A and have about ten hours on it. First, I am a very tough customer and right off appreciated the business acumen of Ben the Owner. He answered all my questions, was willing to negotiate certain aspects of the work I wanted to add, and made the entire process easy. He assisted with my preparations to ship the engine, arranged for the shipping and it was picked up and delivered when he said it would be. i compared six other engine shops in detail, the work they included, what would be additional, and what the guarantee would be. Corona offered the most complete overhaul and by far the best price. The engine was balanced and valves ported and polished with flow balancing. The engine is amazing. The detail of the finish was excellent and the engine runs very strong and is noticeably smoother in operation. The oil consumption became stabalized very quickly. Most of my pilot friends who have experience breaking in engines are suprised at how few hours it took to get the rings seated. There are no leaks and no glitches in any of the work. So far, I could not be more satisfied with the work. I just wish I would have flown my plane to him and him pull and replace the engine. it would have been far cheaper than having my local A&P perform the work. Ben offered to break the engine in for me had I flown the plane down there; turn key service. In retrospect, I wish I had done that."

"When we needed our aircraft engine rebuilt many people reffered us to Corona Aircraft Engines, I called and spoke directly with Ben the owner. I found that he was easy to work with, very knowledgeable and competitively priced. What impressed me more was the cleanliness of his facility, plus he personally did the final assembly of our engine and then ran the new engine for 2+ hours to physically make sure there were no problems or metal failures. That's very comforting to know when you are flying. Bottom line, I feel safe in recommending this company if you need a new or rebuilt aircraft engine... great quality control!"

"I used Corona Aircraft Engines for a quick turn overhaul on an O-320. They provided a quote within 24 hours. They provided simultaneous integration of 2 STC's and were within 7 days of the quoted 6 week turn around. The turn around was fast, the work was excellent. Every little detail was covered (Lord mounts, bolts, fittings etc.) The owner is a former military engine mechanic, and takes serious pride in his work. The results show. If you are looking for an engine shop I'd seriously check these guys out."
